We received our Hug from Henry gift box with great joy and excitement. Our daughter has struggled with the loss of her precious brother and the Hug from Henry box helped her be seen. It put a smile on her face and brought true delight! When we explained who Henry was and why she was received this box, you truly was touched. You could see it in her eyes. Bereaved siblings are often forgotten, overlooked, and disregarded. Children who endure such a catastrophic loss are said to simply “be resilient,” and thought to be fine because childhood grief manifests itself differently than adult grief. Hug from Henry Gift Box

It is so important for children to understand they are not alone. A great way for them to feel supported and understood is to know that other children have experienced the same thing. This is why we created “Hugs from Henry” boxes. These gift boxes are lovingly filled with items our son Henry has found comfort in as he has grieved.

Every box includes a stuffed animal for snuggles, a pocket hug, a book on grief, and other little things that will help bring a smile to a child’s face, plus grief resources like kids’ yoga flash cards and a grief journal. Each box also includes a note from Henry ensuring that every child feels loved and understood.
